Real Life Invisibility Cloak Developed by Canadian Company

Canadian company Hyperstealth developed a light-bending material that can create a working invisibility cloak.

The material, known as Quantum Stealth, can bend light around an object or person behind it, leaving only the background visible. It does not require power, works in any environment and can be scalable to conceal a person, vehicle, aircraft or building.

In addition to invisibility, Quantum Stealth can distort reality.

Hyperstealth has developed 13 different versions of the material, each with different uses and benefits. For example, one version can make a person invisible from one angle, but visible from another.

According to the company, the technology will hopefully have uses outside of the obvious military implications, such as hiding unsightly air conditioning structures atop buildings. (REUTERS)
